Causes We Support at Watermins
At Watermins, we believe in caring and sharing. We live in an intricately inter-connected world, and there are immense challenges to be overcome at all levels of human society.
We want to do our part to make this world a better place for all. Therefore, an important part of our mission is to contribute at least 10% of our net earnings towards health and environment projects, through selected non-profit organizations with outstanding track records. At this time, we support the organizations listed below. We selected these organizations because we admire their work, because their missions resonate with us, and because we think they are doing a great public service.
Environment Working Group (EWG) is a U.S. based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to protecting human health and the environment. Their mission “is to empower people to live healthier lives in a healthier environment.” For several years, EWG has been consistently rated four stars at CharityNavigator.org (highest rating), and their most recent overall score is 91.5 (out of 100). EWG is best known for educating consumers via their annual “Dirty Dozen” guide to pesticides in produce, along with additional consumer guides for safer cosmetics and healthy cleaning products.
Fluoride Action Network (FAN) is part of American Environmental Health Studies Project, a U.S. based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. FAN is a network of health-conscious citizens along with medical & scientific professionals who are dedicated to broadening public awareness about the toxicity and health impact of fluoride exposure, particularly from fluoridation of public drinking water. FAN is currently not rated by CharityNavigator.org, since it is a small (mostly volunteer-based) organization without much revenue. We think that FAN has been doing a fantastic job even with its very limited resources, and is deserving of additional support.
