Many of our customers have reported reduction of keto flu symptoms with use of EMDROPS when they are on a ketogenic diet. When you are keto fasting, it is common to have electrolyte deficiencies. The so called “keto flu” symptoms on a keto diet appear to occur due to electrolyte imbalances, along with the low intake of carbs. The most important electrolytes to watch out for are potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium, because our bodies need relatively large quantities of these electrolytes every day, and they must be supplied regularly through food and/or drinks.
EMDROPS is a good source of highly bio-available calcium and magnesium electrolytes in your drinking water, and it is highly recommended to add a few drops every time you fill your drinking water cup or bottle. Equally important, you will need to have sufficient intake of potassium and sodium electrolytes. This is best done by consuming plenty of non-starchy veggies (e.g. broccoli, cauliflower, avocados, zucchini, squash etc), seasoned with sea-salt or a rock-salt, such as Himalayan Pink Salt. The veggies are a rich source of potassium, and the sea-salt or rock-salt is a good source of sodium and trace minerals. You can also season your food with a type of salt that supplies both potassium and sodium, such as “Lite Salt”.
You can also add both EMDROPS and a pinch of “lite salt” to your drinking water, in addition to consuming plenty of veggies as explained above.
